Travel & Transport to Guildford College

The College is easy to get to by road and there is a student car park with limited parking. The College may prioritse parking for certain groups of people. The majority of the roads locally have restricted parking.

Park and Ride Facilities
There are several spacious park and ride facilities in the Guildford area with services operating quite regularly (every few minutes). The park and ride buses drop passengers off at the Friary shopping centre.

• The large car park at the rear of Guildford main line railway station.

By Bike

Cycle racks are located outside the five storey and main building at the College. Students travelling to the College by bicyle from local areas can plan their route by visiting the Guildford Borough Council website: www.guildford.gov.uk| and by clicking on Transport and Streets and following the cycling links.

Motorbike spaces are also available in the car park at the College.

By Bus

Buses run directly to Guildford College every ten minutes from the following stands at Guildford Friary Bus Station in Woodbridge Road:

• Stand 2: Number GL100 bus to The Spectrum
• Stand 6: Number 34 bus (Arriva) to Woking
• Stand 13: Number 3 bus (SafeGuard) to Bellfields

You can also catch a bus from the College back to Guildford Friary Bus Station in Woodbridge Road at the bus stop just outside the College gates. Watch out for these buses:

• The number 34 or 35 bus (both Arriva) from Woking/Knaphill
• The number 3 bus (Safeguard) from Bellfields
• The number 28 bus (Arriva) from Pirbright

Buses also run to the bus station from Farnham, Liphook, Camberley, Godalming and Dorking.

By Train

Trains for Guildford College stop at London Road station, which is a five minute walk from Guildford College. Trains also stop at Guildford main line railway station, which is about a 20 minute walk away. You can go to the Guildford Friary Bus Station and catch a bus to the College if you don't fancy the walk with all your books and equipment!
