PRINCE2® (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) has become the most widely adopted project management methodology in the UK and around the world. Following an extremely rigorous process, Services to Business, part of the Guildford College Group has become the only College in the UK to gain accreditation for this prestigious course.
For organisations it provides a rigorous structure for projects. For individuals, PRINCE2® demonstrates to existing or new employers an understanding of the approach and how the methodology of project management can be applied to both large and small projects alike.
Services to Business have developed an intensive five day course which includes the opportunity to sit the APM Group Ltd (APMG) administered PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner exams. The course incorporates a blend of lectures, practical activities, case studies linked to real life scenarios and sample papers including numerous question/answer sessions. The course is split into two different levels:
Foundation
Aimed at measuring whether a candidate could act as an informed member of a project management team on a project using the PRINCE2® method, within an environment supporting PRINCE2®. To this end they need to show they understand the principles and terminology of the method.
Practitioner
Aimed at measuring whether a candidate could apply PRINCE2® to the running and managing of a non-complex project within an environment supporting PRINCE2®. To this end they need to exhibit the competence required for the Foundation qualification, and show that they can apply and tailor PRINCE2® to address the needs and problems of a given project scenario.
Upcoming Course dates
20 - 24 May 2013, 15 - 19 July
Courses are 5 days in duration and take place from Monday to Friday 9.00 - 17.00. There are approximately 15 hours of pre-course work required. A study guide is provided to allow you to effectively structure your preparation over a 2 week (10 day) period.
Should you have a group of staff requiring PRINCE2® training, courses can be arranged at a time and location to suit you.
*Cost
The 5 day Foundation and Practitioner Qualification costs just £995 for a single delegate. Discounts are applicable for multi-delegate bookings, £895 per delegate for 2 places, £795 per delegate for 3 or more. The cost includes all course materials, official PRINCE2 manual and exam fees.
Due to the College's legal status, we are exempt from charging VAT for our courses, so the price listed is the total price you pay.
