Redundancy Support for your Staff

If business is slow at the moment and you are looking at downscaling your operations and letting go of staff, Services to Business could help support those staff in getting back into the job market.

The programme is designed to support those who are under notice of redundancy, have recently been made redundant or are unemployed and claiming Job Seekers Allowance or Employment and Support Allowance. The programme will provide those who live or work in Surrey with FREE* support and training courses.

By offering your staff the chance to take part in the programme you can:

  • Support staff who are under notice of redundancy, by encouraging them to update their skills, or learn something new and enable them to keep their job or apply for a newly created position

  • Or, support staff who are being made redundant, by allowing them time to get practical advice on job hunting and application skills and improving their chances of getting another job.

Support your staff in making the transition:
The programme starts with up to two days of short workshops focusing on getting practical advice on job hunting and refreshing CV and application skills. They’ll learn how to make the most of the skills and experience they’ve already got, use their CV as a marketing tool and how to perform their best at interview.

The programme then continues with a choice of:
